About the workshops

Patrick Studios Australia is dedicated to providing regional Victoria

with the opportunity and experiences to help guide and nurture young country artist.

Our first workshops will open in Gippsland Bass Coast region and we will follow up with workshops in Geelong in term 3.

We will be bringing down some of the industry’s best choreographers and teachers as well as out esteem alumni.

 

Cost:

$25 for 2 classes
Styles include jazz, hip hop, musical theatre and lyrical with Australia’s best teachers.

 

Age Groups:

Juniors: 8-12 years old
Seniors: 13+ years old

Teachers

Todd Patrick

Todd Patrick is a renowned choreographer and artistic director based in Melbourne, Australia. Todd’s long spanned career has seen him travel all over the world working for some of the most industry respected companies as both a dancer and choreographer.

He began his career with the internationally acclaimed company, Walt Disney Studios before beginning an impressive stint with the prestigious Lido in Paris, France.

The credits that Todd has to his name are nothing short of impressive, having worked with the likes of  Vanessa Amorosi, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Zoe Badwi, Kate Cebrano and Dannii Minogue not to mention MAC Cosmetics, Christian Dior, Versace, Issey Miyake, Chanel and Gucci alongside Giselle Bundchen, John Galliano and Karl Lagerfeld.

On top of all this Todd opened Patrick Studios Australia which encompasses a fulltime performing arts, musical theatre and junior elite course specifically to train dancers for a professional career in the arts. In addition, he opened Patrick Management to support students and professional performers break into the industry and foster their career. His students and talent are now following in his footsteps and can be seen around the world in shows like Wicked, Shout, Chicago, 42nd Street and Hamilton and in venues across Europe including The Lido, Moulin Rouge and La Nouvelle Eve.  His students frequent in music videos, TV programs, cruise ships, commercial functions and fashion parades with highly acclaimed directors and choreographers.

Todd is thrilled to be expanding and creating a stronger bond between the city schools and the country schools.

Adelaide Clark

is recognized as an experienced performer with a big personality and exciting teaching style. She has worked extensively throughout Australia and Asia as a vocalist, dancer and choreographer. Highlights include: ‘Universal Studios Japan’, TVCs for ‘Jay Jays’ and ‘Target’ and choreographing parades for ‘NIKE & BARDOT’. She is the resident choreographer for ‘Draculas Cabaret’ in Melbourne & The Gold Coast and has most recently choreographed for OMI (SONY). Adelaide absolutely loves teaching, watching students improve and is both a passionate and energetic teacher.

Alex Given

Alex graduated in 2011 after completing the Performing Arts course and Musical Theatre course at Patrick Studios Australia. He has performed in various events, including the TV Week Logie Awards, Opening of Hamer Hall with Caroline O’Connor, Adelaide Cabaret Festival Opening Gala and Trevor Ashley’s Liza (on an E). Musical Theatre credits include ‘A-rab’ in West Side Story, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Anything Goes, Dusty and Guys and Dolls (TPC), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (TML Enterprises), South Pacific (Opera Australia), Loving Repeating (VTC), Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom the Musical (Global Creatures), Georgy Girl: The Seekers Musical (Richard East) and My Fair Lady (Opera Australia) directed by Dame Julie Andrews. Film credits include Holding the Man (Screen Australia).

Brett Fischer

Dylan Speedy

Dylan Speedy grew up in the Southeastern suburbs of Melbourne Australia and attended Caulfield Grammar School in Glen Eira.

He began dancing at a very early age at his mother’s local dance school.

Dylan trained at the Sharon Lawrence Academy of Dance for 8 years and in 2015 graduated from Patrick Studios Australia after completing a full time Performing Arts course. He received certificates 1,3 & 4 in dance with Swinburne University.

Early in Dylan’s career he was fortunate enough to be in Cameron Macintosh’s production of “Oliver!” playing the role of ‘Nipper’ and also played the young Peter Allen in the Australian tour of Hugh Jackman’s “the Boy from Oz” in 2006.

Dylan is currently working as a professional dancer and teacher in Melbourne. He has performed at many corporate events throughout Australia and is very excited to be teaching at Patrick Studios Australia’s regional workshops this year.

Nadia Tornese

Nadia Tornese was a self taught dancer from the age of 12, she made the decision at the later age of 20 years old that the entertainment business is what she had her heart set on, proving that hard work and dedication pays off she was accepted to Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. With little to no dance experience but her own, she completed her first year and was offered a full scholarship to continue on for a second year. After two years of training full-time she flew herself to the United States to continue to train with some of the worlds most sort after choreographers in New York and Los Angeles, training at studios such as Debbie Reynolds, Broadway Dance Centre, Millennium Dance Complex and Movement Lifestyle Studios.

 

As well as being a performer Nadia is fast becoming a highly sort after choreographer in the entertainment industry. Nadia has had the pleasure of performing, choreographing and assisting artists and event’s such as Meghan Trainor (Logie awards), Kylie Minogue, MC Hammer,Justice Crew,The Project (Network 10), Ashley Roberts (Pussy Cat Dolls),The Australian Open, Carrie Bickmore’s “Brain Beats” and TV Series The Wrong Girl and Neighbours. She has also performed and choreographed for countless corporate, club and independent shows such as Mazda, KPMG, Mercedes, Diamonds at the Spiegeltent, Le femme and the male minority, short and sweet dance Melbourne and Nova FM Australia day parade.

Natasha Paramor

Taylor Scanlan

Taylor Scanlan started his career as a Gymnast, offered to compete in our National team. Taylor redirected his passion to combine his love for dance with his acrobatics training.  Taylor has trained in all styles of dance, singing and acting for 6 years at Patrick Studios Australia. In 2015, he made his Musical Theatre debut in ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ for The Production Company. He was then cast as Bill Bailey/Mr Mistoffelees cover in ‘Cats’ The Musical’s 2015/16 Australian/New Zealand tour. Taylor then ventured overseas again to perform in ‘Viva La Broadway’ in Macau before joining the cast of Matthew Bourne’s ‘Lord of the Flies’ in his hometown of Melbourne. Taylor is thrilled to be returning to the stage once again to work on ‘Cats’ The Musical in his new role of Dance Captain.
